Koboji celebrated 75 years of serving the islands in 2022. In 2023, we will celebrate the 1250th anniversary of the birth of Kobo Daishi (Kukai). Please join us as a member as we mark these auspicious occasions.

Temple Clubs

Koboji members also have the opportunity to join one or more of Koboji's clubs, including Fujinkai and Minnyo Kai. More information about Koboji's clubs is coming soon.

Koboji Minnyo Kai

The Koboji Minnyo Kai was founded by Archbishop Dean Zenei Okimura. Members of the club preserve the different styles of dance that are performed during the annual Bon Kuyo Odori. We pass on the many teachings and advice that Dean Sensei entrusted us with. Practices for temple members are held periodically in the downstairs hall. Please contact the office for more information, including details for public practices.

KOBOJI FUJINKAI

The Koboji Fujinkai supports the temple's religious activities and events. Fujinkai members also assist the ministers to prepare the temple ahead of major services. For more information, please contact the temple office.
